Euralis Semences launches a project to build a seed plant in Russia. The site will be located near Voronezh, 470 km. south of Moscow. This is a major project for Euralis.

The site in the Pavlovsk social and economic development zone will cover at least 100 hectares, of which about 20 will be allocated to the factory and warehouses, and the remaining 80 hectares. a research and selection center will also be located.

“The climatic and agronomic conditions in the region are ideal for producing quality seeds. In addition, the region’s economic and human structure will provide skilled labor and an ideal infrastructure, making it the main logistics center for entering our markets, ”said Philippe Sau, Director of Euralis Semences.

Thanks to an annual production capacity of 10 thousand tons of seeds, about 100 permanent jobs will also be created at this enterprise.

The first phase of construction is planned for 2020-2021. The project will be completed in 2022. With 8 million hectares. sunflower, 4 million corn and 3 million soybeans, the Russian market offers the greatest potential on the European continent, both in the oilseed and non-oilseed segments.

These investments will support the commercial development of Euralis Semences, which is already well known in Russia. Based on a high-performance gene flow, the goal is to increase sales in the country from 500,000 units today to 1 million units in 2025.

By maximizing local production, the plant will provide not only stability in the Russian market, but also the key to competitiveness. The newly built site will meet all Euralis quality requirements to optimize customer satisfaction.
