From the first days of 2019, the manufacture and use of dry matter of 0.5% ethyl alcohol is considered illegal in Russia. Previously, this substance was actively and quite legally used for the production of food and non-food products, which were sold in liquid form or in the form of products containing dry alcohol in their composition.
However, state-level experts analyzed the situation and identified many risks in the sale, manufacture and sale of dry alcohol. For example, by purchasing this product, the consumer can use it for the production of illegal alcoholic beverages, while changing the dosage of dry matter at their discretion and deviating greatly from the recommendations of the legal alcohol manufacturer.
In other words, as a result of the active use of dry alcohol, a huge amount of low-quality goods fell on the Russian market, which threatened both the health of consumers and their lives. Now, a ban has been introduced on this activity and control measures have been tightened.
It is noteworthy that the ban does not apply to dry alcohol, which is used in the manufacture of perfumes and cosmetics, as well as in the production of sanitary products and household chemicals.
