Natural fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory killed at least four thousand representatives of various breeds of animals from the region's general livestock.
Both cattle and small animals, horses and birds became victims of the blazing fire. So, it is known that the flame consumed more than three thousand goats and sheep, about thirty horses, more than twenty pigs, at least 470 birds and more than 370 cows.
It is known that a lot of cattle scattered across the Transbaikal steppes, and today farmers and intelligence agencies are looking for lost and scared animals. It will not be superfluous to note that, against the backdrop of general misfortune, the employees of the Regional Agricultural Center of the region are already conducting a survey of the affected areas and are beginning to assist in preparing documents for damage compensation to those breeders and farmers who, as a result of fires, lost a significant part of their economy.
We add that the natural fires that raged in the vast Trans-Baikal Territory from April 19 to 20 caused damage to 17 settlements. The rapidly spreading flame destroyed more than a hundred buildings and structures, 99 of which are residential buildings.Unfortunately, the health of the population of the region was not without damage: about 30 people received serious injuries during a riot of flame. Doctors position the condition of four as serious. The emergency regime remains in Transbaikalia to this day.
