Young Holstein cows, which were born on the solar farms of Hungary and the Netherlands, have already said goodbye to their native stalls and are settled in an unusual place for them - on one of the state farms of South Sakhalin.
We are talking about Holstein heifers aged from 1 to 5 months in the amount of two hundred individuals who flew from Europe to Russia by cargo plane. It is known that the aircraft is equipped in a special way so that the flight of cattle is as comfortable as possible.
As soon as Hungarian and Dutch cows arrived in Sakhalin open spaces, Rosselkhoznadzor employees based in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk carried out general clinical monitoring of animals and checked documentation and certificates, they accompanied the cows from Europe. When all the formalities were settled and the successful outcome of the control measures was announced, the cows were sent to the farm of the village of Razdolnoye. Holstein was transported by road transport, specially equipped for the comfortable transport of livestock.
So far, European heifers are in mandatory quarantine, but very soon the isolation of foreign guests will end, and they will join the old-timers of the farm in the main stalls.
