The investment council, which was held in the presence of the governor, spoke about the opening of an enterprise for the cultivation and processing of Ivan tea in the territory of the Vologda Oblast.
The Maisky Ivan-Chay organization intends to open an unusual production, which has chosen the Mezhdurechensk district as the object of its claims. Lands were found for cultivation; together with scientists, more than 20 experiments were made on cultivating willow tea in the region.
As Director General of Maisky Ivan-Tea LLC Sergey Kostin said in his appeal to the investment council, in order to build a tea factory, you need to be sure that the experimental results will be positive and that it will be possible to create a raw material base.
Under the tsar, Ivan tea was a Russian traditional drink. It was delivered to different countries of the world.
The organization plans to become a leading producer of willow-tea, for which it requests the Department of Agriculture of the region to support it, and recognize Cyprus as agricultural crops.
The resulting products are planned to be exported. 634 million rubles will be invested in the project. The opening of this production will give 273 jobs, 102 of them seasonal.
