The order of one and a half centners of feed (both coarse and succulent) was managed to be prepared today for each individual cattle of the region by agrarians of the Tomsk region.

Based on the information shared by representatives of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the forage harvesting campaign in Tomsk is in the most active phase. And today, local cows are provided with food for the winter period by more than four and a half percent.

It should be noted that today the process of harvesting feed of various types takes place in such areas of the Tomsk region as Bakcharsky, Krivosheinsky, Zyryanovsky and Kozhevnikovsky.

Representatives of Chayin, Shegarsky, Asinovsky, May Day, Tomsk agricultural enterprises also take part in the campaign. Such data was shared by employees of the department for socio-economic development of rural areas in the region.

In addition, the ministry noted that the Tomsk region can be safely considered a forward in hay harvesting - local farmers have reached results in the form of one thousand six hundred tons by today.

If we talk about the total volume of haymaking in the region, then at the moment it is about two and a half thousand tons. As for the haylage, its current rate exceeds twenty-three thousand tons.

It is important to add that this year the procurement campaign is proceeding more actively - on the same date in 2018, Tomsk agrarians completed only two percent of the feed plan, unlike the current nine percent.
