Employees of the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor in the Samara region managed to stop the sale of meat products of unknown origin, which could pose a real threat to the life and health of both Russian consumers and buyers from other countries.
Assistance in the detention of two vehicles with suspicious meat to employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor was provided by road service officers and experts of the Department of Veterinary Medicine in the Samara Region. The detention took place on one of the sections of the highway between Saratov and Samara.
It was there that the drivers of two trucks said goodbye to illegal goods - refreshed carcasses of cows, whose total weight was about five and a half tons. State representatives were not surprised when the people who accompanied the illegal cargo were not able to present the accompanying documentation for the meat.Beef did not have veterinary and sanitary certificates. The carcasses did not have a stigma, which indicates that the meat has passed a preliminary inspection by vet specialists.
Guided by the prescription that meat of an unknown and suspicious origin should be destroyed, government officials seized illegal beef as potentially hazardous to the health of consumers. Then the meat was sent to a special site of the Dubovo-Umetsky Veterinary and Sanitary Utilization Plant.
