The processing plants of Ukraine in March 2018/19 of the marketing year produced 526.7 thousand tons of sunflower oil. It is noteworthy that in the current season the minimum of March reached a new level, UkrAgroConsult analysts share information.
The production of sunflower oil in the marketing season 2018/19 from its launch in September-March has already broken the record for the marketing season 2016/17 (3442.6 thousand tons) and amounted to 3499.9 thousand tons. A year ago, the production of sunflower oil in the country was at the level of 3091.9 thousand tons
It is emphasized that experts leave unchanged estimates of volumes of sunflower processing and oil production from it following the results of the 2018/19 marketing season.
Earlier it was reported that according to experts' forecasts, this year’s grain crop harvest could be 80 million tons, which will make Ukraine’s new record. This year, farmers expect a record generous harvest of corn - at the level of 35 million tons, which will occupy a leading position among other crops.
Soybean crops are expected to reach 4.5 million tons, sunflower - 14 million tons. The highest yields are observed in Vinnitsa, Cherkasy and Poltava regions.
