Agrofusion Group has completed the planting of tomato seedlings in open ground. The total area allocated by the farm for growing tomatoes is 7.2 thousand hectares, the company said.
The expected average crop yield is more than 100 tons / ha. Agrofusion was the first company in Ukraine to implement PlantTape biodegradable seedling technology.
It provides a high density of plants per tray and maximizes efficiency at all levels of the production process: growing in greenhouses, transportation, planting in open ground.
Also in the 2019 season, the company carried out an experiment on planting tomatoes in the wings from winter rye. The start of tomato harvesting at Agrofusion is scheduled for late June.
