Growing berries according to GLOBAL G.A.P. certified about a dozen farms in Ukraine.
It is mainly about blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. inhibited by the lack of registered plant protection products for use on berries.
This was told by a consultant for certification of production according to the GLOBAL G.A.P. standard. Nina Dmitrash.
“The problem is the lack of plant protection products (plant protection products) registered for use on berries,” she said, “this also affects certification. After all, according to the standard, everything that is used in the cultivation of fruits must comply with applicable law. ”
According to Nina Dmitrash, to protect strawberries, you can still pick up effective and approved preparations. The remaining berry crops in Ukraine remain unprotected.
So, on a blueberry, only one drug is registered - Switch. “The lack of registration of plant protection products is a problem not only for berry crops, but also for some vegetables: garlic, carrots, table beets,” she emphasized. “Because in our case, if the preparations are registered on beets, then only on fodder and sugar,” summed up Nina Dmitrash.
