The first holidays of 2019 have come to an end, and it is already safe to part with the New Year decorations until next year. Busy farewell to the festive paraphernalia and residents of Moscow. And those Muscovites who decorated their holiday with live firs and pines, can not just throw out the old tree, but take it to a recycling point.

These points operate in 13 parks of the Russian capital. In the work of the reception centers, the personnel forces of Mosprirody are involved. Every day, new batches of Christmas trees, pines and firs from environmentally-friendly Muscovites are sent directly to the conveyor of a processing company, which is made from Christmas trees, which just yesterday delighted the eyes and filled the apartment with the scent of needles, in chips and soil.

“Most often, the trees that people attach to garbage containers fall into landfills,” say employees of Mosprirody. “There, the trees are deprived of conditions for proper decomposition, and in large quantities, the trees emit a lot of harmful greenhouse gas in the process of decomposition. Therefore, it’s more humane for both those who served their Christmas trees and for humanity to take trees to specialized points for further proper processing. Just don’t forget that only those Christmas trees that are cleansed of tinsel, toys and other decorations take out the park and other Christmas tree reception centers. ”
