Record price for the apple market: today, Ukrainians can buy a kilogram of seasonal apples for a nominal amount - a package of fruits will cost them one and a half hryvnias.

Last week is not the best for apple suppliers and distributors. It turned out that the average price of Ukrainian apples fell to critical levels and amounted to only 30% of the average price for the same products a year ago.

Surprisingly, Ukrainians report that in some retail outlets, the price of apples is 1.5 hryvnias per kilogram.

Most of all, Idared apples fell in price. Together with him, such types of fruits as Gala and Champion lost their price positions. Over the year, they fell in price by more than half. And if in 2017 we bought these fruits at a price of 6 hryvnias per kilogram, today you can easily meet 3-5 hryvnias.

Apples of the Fuji variety, beloved by Ukrainians, have fallen in price by 50%. The Black Prince variety, as well as Ligol and Decosta, did not avoid a decrease in price. Today, representatives of these varieties can be purchased at a price of 4-7 hryvnia per kilogram.

Semirenko and Golden are not far behind. "Shedding" 40%, these varieties today can be taken home for 5-8 hryvnias / kg.

Well, the representative of one of the most expensive varieties - sweet Mutsu - fell in price by a third. These apples have become more affordable and will cost you only a maximum of 10 hryvnia per kilogram.

It is noteworthy that a similar situation with a fall in prices also formed among neighbors - for a long time so cheap apples were not sold in Poland. They have fallen in price by more than half. In this regard, many farmers refuse to expend energy on the collection and sale of fruits, leaving the crop in their own gardens.
