Borscht pan in Kherson became “golden”, as evidenced by the prices of vegetables in local markets. At the same time, imported exotic fruits are inferior in price to Ukrainian products.
Exotic fruits brought to the Kherson region thousands of kilometers in April this year are cheaper than products grown domestically. lying in storage all winter and part of spring, do not differ in good quality and look unpretentious.
But their prices remain high. So, Ukrainian onions, collected last year, in the markets of the Kherson region cost 23-25 UAH / kg, while bananas from Latin America can be bought in bulk for 22-23 UAH / kg. Home-grown cabbage from local vegetable gardens is currently sold at a price of 25-28 UAH / kg, while imported lemons offer 24-26 UAH / kg.Traders sell greenhouse radishes this year’s harvest at 15-20 UAH / kg in bulk, and at retail its price is even higher. At the same time, pears delivered to Ukraine from Spain and Turkey can be bought at 10-15 UAH / kg.
Earlier it was reported that high prices for onions are observed not only in Ukraine, but throughout Europe. This situation is due to the fact that 2018 was barren for culture. Little onions were gathered and its quality cannot be called good.
