Analysts at the Russian agro-industrial complex are happy to say that the epizootic situation in rabies and the African swine fever is improving significantly every day.

It is known that at the moment 265 outbreaks of disease of farm animals with this virus have been recorded, despite the fact that a year earlier, on February 28, 2018, 978 cases of the disease were recorded only with rabies.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Gordeev, today we can note a seasonal decrease in the intensity of the spread of the virus of African swine fever in the farms and subsidiary plots of the country. At a meeting of the government’s permanent anti-epizootic commission, Gordeev reported that no cases of swine plague among domestic Russian pigs have been reported since the first days of this year.

At the same time, it will not be out of place to note that over the past month, cases of infection of wild boars with the ASF virus genome have been recorded. Situations were recorded in the Kaliningrad and Leningrad regions. This information was published by employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that for the zone of the central Chernozem region, where wild boar is often the only object of hunting, it is necessary to introduce a special regime for maintaining the number of these animals.
