The company "Arnika" hopes to get a yield of at least 1 t / ha on seed crops of organic hemp. As for the current difficult weather year, this is very good.
“We plan to collect when at least 80% of the inflorescences have reached maturity. We collect with combine harvesters, ”said Sergey Sereda, chief agronomist of the company.
According to him, we are talking about a variety of breeding Institute of Bast Crops NAAS Zolotonoshsky 15. It has a high resistance to disease, which is important in organic production.
“Arnika” carries out plowing for sowing organic hemp, as well as the following operations:
- treatment with a heavy tooth harrow - was carried out twice;
- pre-emergence harrowing for the destruction of seedlings of weeds in the stitch stage was carried out twice by a net harrow;
- germination harrow with net harrow;
- inter-row cultivator cultivation for inter-row cultivation in accordance with the growth of weeds.
Now weeds, of course, are in some places, because apart from tillage operations, they are not controlled in any way, and at a certain height of plants it is no longer advisable to carry out inter-row cultivation.
However, they are surprisingly few and they can no longer compete with high hemp, Sergey Sereda summed up.
